Meet the Doctors
Matthew J. Allen, DDS
After receiving a BS in biology from the University of Toledo, Dr. Allen earned his DDS from Ohio State University. He is committed to helping our patients understand their overall oral and facial health while providing them with personalized, state of the art treatment solutions. Dr. Allen founded Godley Station Dental in 2004 with a desire to build a patient centered practice where he could offer his experience and a level of service that helped patients look forward to trips to the dentist.
Constantly in pursuit of excellence, Dr. Allen has trained extensively with some of the nation's finest cosmetic and reconstructive dentists including the Ross Nash Institute and the Hornbrook Group. He is currently enrolled in a five year program to attain mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction that fewer than 1% of dentists in the nation achieve. In addition, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and The Crown Council. Dr. Allen strongly believes in continuing education and strives to stay at the forefront of the profession.
Dr. Allen and his wife, Melinda, are the proud parents of two sons, Brayden and Avery, and one daughter, Leighton. Outside of the practice, Dr. Allen enjoys playing golf and tennis, boating, travel, and spending time with his friends and family. He is also a volunteer at the Union Mission homeless shelter in Savannah.
Tait G. Carpenter, DMD
Dr. Carpenter received her BS in biology from the College of Charleston and her DMD from Medical University of South Carolina. As a dentist experienced in all facets of patient care, Dr. Carpenter enjoys building relationships with her patients by providing individualized care and sincere concern for everyone who visits our practice.
Her professional memberships include the American Dental Association and Georgia Dental Association.
Dr. Carpenter serves on the executive committee of the Savannah Dental Society. She is dedicated to staying current with advances in dentistry, and her continuing education has most recently focused on technology and cosmetic treatments.
Aside from creating beautiful, healthy smiles, Dr. Carpenter enjoys volunteering at the Union Mission homeless shelter. She regularly takes mission trips to places such as Haiti and Honduras, where she helps less fortunate families. Her husband, Matt, is also a dentist and currently serves in the US Army. Dr. Carpenter likes to cook, read, quilt, and play mom to her three dogs and sons, Finn and Henery. She is an avid and talented photographer.

We have the best hygienists around! Anna, Caitlyn, Laura, Theresa, Stephanie, and Amy are gentle, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have completed hundreds of continuing education hours, all with their patients in mind. Your oral health is their key focus and it shows!
Our Assistants
Our assistants are warm and friendly, and they will do everything they can to make you feel at home in our office. When you come in for treatment, Leah, Brandy, Dalila, Stephanie, or Elaine will ensure that you are completely comfortable throughout the entire procedure. With over 35 years of combined experience, they are willing and very able to answer any questions you may have and guide you through your dental experience.

Our helpful front office staff is here to assist you! With a combined 49 years of experience, they can handle anything. They will take time to explain your financial options and find appointment availabilities that are just right for your schedule.
